I haven’t changed out that photo

Not just yet

Two faces that haunt me

Fascinate me to the point

Of losing all track of time

I see the smiles and wonder

Was it me who put it on your face

Was I ever the one

Who made you smile

It was breath taking

One of the things that drew me to you

I’d never seen someone

Who lit up the room just saying hello

But I must not have been the one

Someone else must have caught your eye

Fascinated you, brought out that smile

Even as a I look at the photo

I still feel the yearning

That tug at my heart

That same feeling as the first time
