Don't Worry About Me

Wash through the sea
Filling up with my colors
For you in all their draining power
Compelling my heart to let go
To listen to the chords
Of my life swishing by
While you hold onto the notes
Singing until you find the
Help showing you how to get out
If only you could break through the deafening silence
Shining a light
To try to get to me, to see me
But the darkness is too much
That you’re tempted to let go
To turn back and leave
Leave me behind
You can’t decide if I’m truly worth it
Do I really matter that much
Can you find an answer to this question
My life’s endless mystery
Breaking down at my walls
Crushing me within
With a wall you can’t lift up
So I have to tell you to go
Don’t sacrifice yourself
At least not for me
I’m not worth giving your life to
To spend it worthlessly
On a fool such as I
I don’t want you to go through the hurt
Leave me in this pit
Go, leave, get away while you still can
Live your life for yourself
Just don’t worry about me
